Mark Lane

Gardener, author, and TV presenter

Mark is the resident gardening expert on BBC Morning Live and QVC, as well as a multi-award-winning garden designer. He is the UK’s first garden designer in a wheelchair, as well as the first BBC gardening presenter in a wheelchair.

As well as presenting Gardener’s World and the Royal Horticultural Society’s Flower Shows, he appears on many radio stations as well as being a regular speaker for the horticultural industry and is a disability advocate.

Mark says: “I’ve been gardening since a very young age, and later trained as a garden/landscape designer. I am constantly aware of the sun, rain, and wind. It’s important to cover up my skin, especially on sunny days, but also on cloudy days, being mindful of the UV Index! We all need to think about our skin, so either wear appropriate clothing or apply sunscreen.”
