Colin Yee
Medical Student
Collin Yee is a medical student at Tulane University School of Medicine and a former NCAA Division I golfer at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Having spent years training and competing outdoors, he has a firsthand understanding of the importance of sun protection and the increased skin cancer risks faced by golfers and other athletes.
Aspiring to become a dermatologist, Collin is passionate about advancing skin cancer prevention through education, advocacy, and early detection. As the Melanoma Fund’s US Sunguard Ambassador, he is leading efforts to introduce out campaigns to the United States, helping to raise awareness of UV risk within golf and encourage practical sun-safe behaviours both on and off the course.
Recognising that skin cancer rates remain high among golfers and outdoor participants, Collin is keen to work collaboratively with national golf organisations, clubs, coaches, and players to make sun protection a more visible and accepted part of the game. By combining his experiences in medicine and sport, he hopes to help create lasting cultural change and protect future generations of golfers from preventable skin cancer.
