Daniel Whitaker

Dan is an extreme sports enthusiast and a melanoma survivor (Grade1B 2012). He has completed long-distance triathlons, Iron Man events, endurance cycle rides, and most recently a successful English Channel swim, raising over 310K for two charities, including Melanoma Fund.

As a proud ‘redhead’ he understands the importance of fully protecting skin whilst active, in and around water, and is keen to share his knowledge.

“Applying sunscreen before and whilst exercising is a must. Don’t let complacency get the better of you because UV rays won’t be complacent with your skin, your body’s largest organ. Trust me, prevention is easier than treating sunburn or much worse, suffering from skin cancer.”
