Lisa has been a driving force in improving the sport and physical activity sector for over 25 years and was awarded an MBE in 2021.

Lisa held senior roles at Sport England, British Basketball, and Volleyball England, before heading up the Sport & Recreation Alliance. In 2019, she was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Science from the University of Bedfordshire, acknowledging her services to Sport Education.

“I am extremely proud to become an ambassador for such an important initiative, one which carries extra meaning for me as a survivor of cancer. Getting sun protection recognised on a wide scale in sport is something I am incredibly passionate about, and I look forward to activating my role. The place that sport has in society has never been more important than at this moment in time, not just for physical health, but mental, social, and community well-being, and it is vital that everyone feels like they can participate, work, or spectate safely.”
